Ivypool's Heart[]
- Stalk Purr is carrying her and Tumble Leap's kits when the Clan cats meet her. Before the kits are born, Galestar tells the Clan cats that they will be named Pounce, Stretch, and Hunt. The wildcats initially do not believe that they spoke to their ancestors, but once Icewing asks if that was what they are going to name their kits, Stalk Purr reveals that she decided on these names long ago. The two wildcats agree to go with the Clan cats when they raise the possibility of living with their kits in a Clan instead of having their kits be taken by Twolegs.
- When Stalk Purr gives birth to her kits, Stretch is born second, with her brother Hunt being first. Stalk Purr notes how long and skinny she is, and names her Stretch. Her parents are overjoyed to see their newborn kits, and afterward, Tumble Leap comments on how Pounce, Stretch, and Hunt will be presented to their ancestors and receive their full names. When Ivypool and Icewing find the wildcats' group, they agree after some time to welcome Stalk Purr, Tumble Leap, and their kits. Several wildcats accompany them back to where the other journeying cats are, and the three kits' eyes are now open. When the cats arrive in the ancestors' land, a spirit cat takes Stretch under their guidance, and her new name is Stretch Blink. The next day, Stalk Purr and Tumble Leap carry Stretch Blink and her siblings on their backs as they depart to join the other wildcats.
