"And from now on, I think we should meet every half-moon to share tongues with StarClan together. None of us want to see our Clanmates die, and all of us would be happy never to treat a battle wound again. Perhaps boundaries don't exist for medicine cats the way they do for our Clanmates. We should work together whenever we can, to preserve the peace and health of all the Clans." |

Code of the Clans[]
- "Enough! There is nothing to be won here! Go home!"
- ―Swiftfoot at a border fight Code of the Clans, page 135
- Swiftfoot is an ancient medicine cat of WindClan. During a battle between WindClan and ShadowClan, he runs into the fight, yowling that they need to stop. He nudges a WindClan warrior back towards camp, just as Mossheart, the medicine cat of ShadowClan, arrives to tell her Clan to go back home. Swiftfoot speaks to her, telling her that all the endless fighting must stop. He agrees that he must go to the Moonstone, but then tells her that he will gather all the medicine cats so they can go together.
- When they reach Mothermouth and share dreams with StarClan, he sums up what all their fallen ancestors have told them; that a warrior need not kill to win their battles. He also says that there will be exceptions to this, but in battles between the Clans, killing is not the answer, and he later adds it as a new law to the warrior code. He also comes up with the idea that the medicine cats meet every half-moon from then on to share tongues with StarClan, though it is not added to the code.
