- I'm more inclined to ditch this, Rouge, and Loner all together. In favor of a page (or better, a Category) for Non-clan cats. Frankly, Rouge and Loner are pretty much indistinguishable. They're the same thing, and what's a rouge in one clan's eyes might be a loner in another's. Kitsufox(Fox's Den) 23:08, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Loners and Rogues Difference?[]
I'm pretty sure both Yellowfang and Sasha were loners. It can be hard to tell the difference though so liike you peeps were saying up there I think we should merge loner page and this page together.Artimas Hunter 00:38, January 27, 2010 (UTC)Artimas Hunter
Here's Rock's interpretation of the difference between a loner and a rogue - "What's that, Adderkit? You can't figure out the difference between Loners and rogues? Let me think how best to explain.... Loners are cats who live on their own, not as kittypets, and don't trouble the Clans. Rogues also live on their own, but they cause problems. That's how the Clans make the distinction, anyway.
That's from "Cats of the Clans" pg 77. Does that help at all? And plus, it usually says in the book. When Firepaw first met Yellowfang, he distinguished her as a rogue. Same in "Into the Woods". Sasha told Tigerstar that she was a rogue to disguise her kittypet identity. Wouldn’t Algernon, Bess, Wee Hen, Sparrow, and the other rogues in Tallstar’s Quest be considered loners? They don’t scorn the Clans for their beliefs, they don’t have an established territory, and they certainly haven’t been exiled Autumnfrost547 20:20, April 1, 2020 (UTC)
