Tigerstar was not necessarily given nine lives by StarClan. Maybe by the Dark Forest.

Another point of view...[]

Hi, I come from Germany and I hope my English is okay^^ I read the translation of this story and there it says (it's also said in this article) Tigerstar respected his ancestors. I don't think so: He wants to destroy StarClan in the Omen of the Stars series and in The Darkest Hour he tries to unite the four Clans to one - TigerClan - which means he would have destroyed what his ancestors created if Scourge hadn't stopped him. It is also said that he's devotional to his Clan. But he just served ThunderClan well cause he was greedy for power, didn't he? I think the high attention he got as a kit and his mentor Thistleclaw turned him into a cat who would do anything for his interests. When he faced Scourge, he was just was upset because BloodClan did not listen to his orders. So he fought Scourge as a personal rival, not to save the Clans. There is no honor in this action. If he'd won the fight, he likely would have united BloodClan with TigerClan; ThunderClan and WindClan hadn't been able to win a battle against such a superiority. This would have been the end of the Clans and maybe the end of Firestar, too. Tigerstar is a bloodthirsty, self-confident, clever, strong and ambitious cat. A cat who doesn't stop unless he gets what he wants. So why sugarcout what he's done? 217.88.14.66 17:38, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
