- Talltail wakes up Jake, eager to get going. As he catches the scent of the rouges, he and Jake begin to follow the trail. Jake decides to stay with Talltail, wanting to help him track Sparrow down. They travel through the day, before running into a fox. The two toms attack it, eventually driving it away, though not without injuries. Jake goes to find some dock leaves for Talltail's wounds, and Talltail thanks him for saving his life again.
- As they debate where to go next, three Monsters suddenly approach, but avoid the cats. Another cat approaches the pair, and Talltail looks up, recognizing Algernon and Reena as they look at him, shocked.
