Chapter description

Tigerstar and Boulder of ShadowClan journey through Twolegplace in the rain, with Boulder leading Tigerstar, looking for something. As he walks through Twolegplace, a monster passes sending filthy water flying out towards the pair. Tigerstar is disgusted by this: all of the rubbish he sees, the scents of monsters, the feel of the ground under his paws, the unfamiliar noise, and not being able to navigate around without a guide. He feels as if all of his senses are gone in this place; a similar experience to being a kit.

The two arrive to the place they were looking for. Boulder tells him that the cat they're going to meet must be treated with respect, for he holds command over many cats, which Tigerstar reluctantly accepts. Bone, a BloodClan cat, steps out of the shadows to confront them. After an explanation of their presence, he reluctantly lets them into BloodClan territory to speak to their leader, Scourge. Scourge isn't happy about their presence, but Tigerstar speaks up and tells Scourge that he has a proposition for him.
