    • After bringing Cinderpaw back to camp, Yellowfang begins to treat her wounded leg.
    • She comments on how foolish it had been of Tigerclaw to request a meeting at such a dangerous location.
  • Fireheart agonizes over Tigerclaw's intentions before going to sleep.
  • Graystripe reveals that Oakheart had been the father of Silverstream's best friend, Mistyfoot, so Fireheart insists they need to talk to her and confirm details about Oakheart's death.
  • Yellowfang says that although Cinderpaw is alive, she will never be able to use one of her hindlegs again.

  • Brokenstar and his rogues attack the ThunderClan camp.
    • Graystripe kills Clawface to save Fireheart.
    • Yellowfang blinds Brokenstar, revealing that she is his mother.
  • Bluestar and Tigerclaw's patrol returns.
    • Fireheart explains what has happened, while Yellowfang insists on keeping Brokenstar alive.
  • Bluestar makes Sandpaw and Dustpaw into warriors, naming them Sandstorm and Dustpelt, respectively.
  • Brokenstar is now named Brokentail, prisoner of ThunderClan.
