The rebels,[1][2][3][4] also called the resistance,[5][2] were a group consisting of exiled Clan cats, ShadowClan, and SkyClan, who aimed to depose of Bramblestar's impostor. The exiles was used interchangeably, but was often used in reference to specifically the exiled cats.[6] When the impostor was deposed of and imprisoned, the group was disbanded and the exiles returned to their Clans of origin.[7]

Description[]

Tigerstar (AVoS).SE-10-FC

Tigerstar served as one of the leaders of the rebellion.

The group was predominantly ShadowClan and SkyClan, who were aware that Bramblestar was a fake. The group also held various Clan cats who were exiled from their Clan for a variety of reasons, as well as spies from ThunderClan, RiverClan, and WindClan.[2][8]
Squirrelstar.SE-12-FC

Squirrelflight served as one of the leaders of the rebellion.

After Squirrelflight was exiled for exposing the impostor publicly, Tigerstar gave her refuge in ShadowClan until the impostor could be dealt with.[9] Soon after, Lionblaze, Jayfeather, Twigbranch,[6] Crowfeather, and Mothwing[10] were given sanctuary within the Clan. Tigerstar then gave the exiles SkyClan's old camp to avoid overpopulation in ShadowClan, as per suggestion from Crowfeather.[11]
After Bramblestar's impostor refused Twigbranch admittance back into ThunderClan despite catching twenty pieces of prey, Finleap and Alderheart decided to be exiled with her.[12] Although Finleap joined Twigbranch in the exile camp, Alderheart never appeared, though it was acknowledged that he knew of its existence.[8] Crowfeather later found the recently exiled Berrynose and brought him to Squirrelflight, who gave him a place in the camp and was told of the situation with the impostor.[13]
