History

Thrushkit is born to Galestar and Stripestar, the joint leaders of StormClan, at the sun-drown-place alongside his littermates, Pebblekit and Fogkit. Both parents are delighted to have a healthy litter after their previous one was stillborn. Stripestar names one of the toms Thrushkit. Later, Stripestar and Galestar scold Thrushkit for playing with Stoneflower's herb storage, though the tom-kit insists he just wanted to play with the lavender. Galestar and Stripestar take their kits outside of their rocky crevasse camp to explore the beach. When Stripestar recognizes warning signs from his dreams about an impending storm, he attempts to convince his mate that they should evacuate the sun-drown-place, but Galestar refuses because of his secrecy. Later, Thrushkit and his littermates evacuate the camp during a torrential storm, and a rock injures Thrushkit's forepaw. StormClan shelters underneath a rocky ledge until the storm passes. Two days later, StormClan leaves the sun-drown-place. Thrushkit rides his mother's back because of his injured paw, and Stripestar tasks him with protecting his mother. However, Galestar and her kits get separated from the rest of the Clan and are soon trapped behind a rockfall.

Thrushkit and his family are rescued by Bound Hunt, Hunt Fly, and Whisper Groom, three wildcats who live nearby. Galestar and her three kits are welcomed into the group, and the wildcat she-cats groom them. Thrushkit is given special attention for his injured paw. Later, the family is formally accepted into the group with each kit assigned an ancestor guide. Roll Flick speaks through one of the wildcat elders to watch over Thrushkit, and he renames him Thrush Roll. Thrush Roll is named a trainee and is mentored by the wildcats alongside Wiggle Leap and Flutter Sneeze. Moons later, Thrush Roll and his littermates are named prowlers.

Ivypool's Heart

Whistlepaw receives a dream about three kits lost in a perilous storm, prompting her quest to correct the past. In the eternal hunting grounds of the wildcats' ancestors, Ivypool spots two other cats resembling Galestar hesitating in the background while she approaches. Galestar later recalls StormClan's journey to Ivypool and her peers. She gave birth to three kits during StormClan's journey to find a new home, at their temporary camp near the sun-drown-place. The former ThunderClan cats were eager to find a permanent home before leaf-bare, and the kits' father, Stripestar, agreed with them. Galestar and her kits were separated from the others in a storm, where they were later rescued by the wildcats. Galestar and Bound Hunt raised her kits together, and her older kits eventually found mates with the wildcats. Later, Ivypool spots them among the other ancestors to welcome Stalk Purr, Tumble Leap, and their kits into the group. Ivypool assumes they are Galestar's kits.
