"There will be many troubles on our path—I do not doubt it. But nothing good comes without a struggle. We must fight for our future."
This article contains major spoilers for the recently released book, StormClan's Folly. Please proceed at your own discretion.
"You defied StarClan at the Moonstone. Since then, ThunderClan's camp has been destroyed by fire. Galestar lost her litter. We have seen Kestrelwing crushed by a monster, woken up to find Petalstep gone in the night, and watched Rosebush plummet to his death. How many more signs will it take to make you understand? How much clearer can StarClan possibly be? They are not looking after us! They will never look after us!"
— Thrushcall snapping at Galestar and Stripestar in StormClan's Folly, page 150

Thrushcall is a dark brown tabby tom.[3]

StormClan's Folly[]

Thrushcall: "What? What do you mean, join [ThunderClan]?"
Galestar: "I mean just that. Merge our Clans together. Become one Clan. A new, bigger, and better Clan."
Thrushcall: "But...surely you're not serious!"
Galestar: "I'm quite serious. And why not? It would mean never going to war with ThunderClan again. Surely you would want that."
Thrushcall: "Of course! But that doesn't mean we should destroy WindClan!"
—Thrushcall's protest against forming StormClan StormClan's Folly, page 65
Thrushpaw is an apprentice of WindClan. At the Gathering, as Galepaw leaves to get a drink, Pebblepaw offers to go with her. Thrushpaw teases him for this, and Galepaw notes that he often teases Pebblepaw for wanting to be with Galepaw. When they return to camp, Thrushpaw watches Pebblepaw pick out a vole for Galepaw, seeming thoughtful. He notices Galepaw watching as well and rolls his eyes teasingly. Moons later, after Pebblenose splits up with his former mate, Galestar, he and Thrushcall grow close, spending most of their time together. When Galestar and Stripestar announce their intention to join WindClan and ThunderClan together, Thrushcall is appalled, not wanting WindClan to be destroyed. Grassfoot, Stripestar's brother, agrees with him.
After many moons of traveling, Thrushcall snaps after Rosebush's death when Stripestar says that he will be with StarClan. Thrushcall reminds him of the tragedies they had witnessed after Stripestar and Galestar turned on StarClan, growling that StarClan is not watching over them. His mate agrees with him. Soon after meeting the Tribe of Rushing Water, Thrushcall and Pebblenose decide to stay there together, no longer feeling able to trust Galestar and Stripestar after going through so much danger. Galestar is upset by this, remembering their history together throughout their lives. Later on, while missing Pebblenose, she wonders how he and Thrushcall are faring with the Tribe.

Personality and traits[]

"I think Galepaw can find a little water without any help. Or did you want to drink it for her too?"
―Thrushpaw teasing Pebblepaw StormClan's Folly, page 9
As an apprentice, Thrushpaw enjoyed teasing his friends, including poking Pebblepaw about his desire to be near Galepaw and even making silly gestures, making them laugh.[6] He grew into a loyal warrior of WindClan who stood up for his Clan when Galestar and Stripestar wanted to form StormClan.[7] Thrushcall can be fierce when angry, snarling at Stripestar after Rosebush's death, while his mate, Pebblenose, is calmer when expressing his frustration.[8] He is loyal to those he cares about, sticking by Pebblenose's side and choosing to join the Tribe of Rushing Water with him, even though it means leaving WindClan.[9]

Relationships[]

Pebblenose[]

«Pebblenose spent most of his time with Thrushcall now, and he seemed all the happier for it.»
—Galestar's thoughts about Pebblenose and Thrushcall StormClan's Folly, page 29
As apprentices, Thrushpaw and Pebblepaw had been close, with Thrushpaw often teasing Pebblepaw about Galepaw.[6] When they become warriors, Thrushcall grows close with Pebblenose after Pebblenose and Galestar are no longer mates.[10] The pair are rarely apart[10][7] and often support one another.[7][8] After suffering much tragedy, their loyalty to one another drives them to leave StormClan and join the Tribe of Rushing Water together.[9]

Gale Rise[]

Thrushcall: "We can go no farther, Galestar. And it's not so bad here. There's plenty of prey. And the rocks and the scrub, and the way the wind whistles across the mountainside...it reminds us of the moor."
Galestar: "So this is your home now. Did it take so little to make you betray your Clan? A couple of plump hares and a big rock to sleep under. Are you so easily swayed?"
—Thrushcall and Galestar StormClan's Folly, page 172
Thrushcall and Galestar had been close growing up, spending time together as kits and apprentices.[6][9] However, as StormClan suffers numerous losses, Thrushcall loses trust in Galestar, as does his mate, and the two end up wanting to join the Tribe, infuriating her. Thrushcall splits from Galestar on poor terms, with Galestar sending him and Pebblenose off bitterly.[9]
