I am doing Char-art commissions!
What you need to do is tell me:
What eye colour
What pelt colour/s
I don't do Char-art changes and I don't do tabbies as they look horrible. I am working on both of these though sorry guys! Feel free to ask me for any extras, Or ask me to attempt A Char-art change!
Hello, Millie! Very sorry for the late reply, I didn't see your message until now. I believe it depends on the contest. Sometimes, you are allowed to make your own entire image, such as when we had a contest to make an icon for the wiki Twitter account. But most of the time you are required to use chararts. I think it should state somewhere in the contest description. If you're still confused, you could try asking Vec or Winter, they're the hosts of the contests. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 21:07, May 26, 2019 (UTC)
Thanks so much! She is lovely! Milliemoo92 Sso (talk) 01:24, July 31, 2019 (UTC)
Yes, in fact, I do use Pixlr. I don't have any tips on shading, but you should do shading at places where a shadow might be.
I've only done one charart, and it wasn't that good, so it got declined. Maybe ask Potato or some of the warriors in the project.
I'm a bit confused by your first question... could you elaborate more so I can better understand?
Appledusk doesn't have an afterlife blank since he was last seen in RiverClan as a warrior. The unknown residence blanks are only being used for characters with confirmed afterlives, that are neither StarClan or the Dark Forest, so he won't be getting that blank. I hope that makes sense^^—PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 00:10, August 5, 2019 (UTC)
The warrior blanks have been being redone, which is why she doesn't have one on her page at the moment. We've been doing the new art in alphabetical order and haven't reached "W" yet, we've been currently working on L-M. Whitewing's warrior image will be added to the list once we reach W and you are free to reserve it then if it is free :) —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 02:23, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
Good luck on getting Whitewing when that batch is put out! The next ones are going to be released on Friday I believe. There should be some solid cats on there you can grab^^ In the mean time I suggest you should practice texture. Many of our images have it and it's important to know, but take your time with learning, there is no rush. CBA stands for "Comments before approval." It's the last call for comments before the image is approved. If the image sits for 24 hours with no comments, it will be archived. Sure, I'll check that out and offer any advice I have for it! —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 02:37, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
I'm not sure what tools Pixlr has since I'm unfamiliar with it, but what I do to make texture (I use GIMP) is make a new layer over the base of the image, use the paintbrush tool with the size on 1 pixel and make some streaks over the image going in the direction of the cat's fur. After that, I lower the opacity on the layer and then it should be finished! Texture can vary on the image, but this is the style I usually work with. Hope that helps! —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 02:50, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
Go ahead and try it, practice and experiment on your contest entry until you find something you like, then post it! it may take some time, but you'll get there. Also on the approval page, there's no need to revert the image you have posted so I can see the previous version; I can see that in the file history^^ It looks like you improved the image based on your last upload, the light is more visible compared to what you had on the previous upload. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 03:01, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
Do you need me to send you the invite again? If you could pop into chat real quick I could^^ Also, it's up to you whether you want to continue working on that image or not. If you're not feeling it, then withdraw it. Don't force yourself to keep working on it if you don't want to. But if you'd like to give it some more time, do it! It's your decision. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 03:45, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
I assume that was you who sent me a friend request on discord? I could invite you through dms on there^^ Overall I think the shading could be darkened and smoothed out some more, but it's turning out very nice. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 14:43, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
Re: Another charart
What If I saved the Char-art and let you update it? Also can you check out the approval page? I think the previous version of the kit looks better honestly :) Milliemoo92 Sso (talk) 02:43, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
Make sure you reply on my talk page! Sure, if that's what you want, I can upload a new one over your previous personal. And your kit is looking very good. ;) --Boo!flower Human no more 03:18, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
project character art, it's where you make the chararts. —MilkRipple (THIS IS THE HEIGHT OF LUXURY!!!) 01:47, August 14, 2019 (UTC) put a request to join on the talk page here. —MilkRipple (THIS IS THE HEIGHT OF LUXURY!!!) 20:37, August 14, 2019 (UTC)
I've renamed it to File:Milliemoo92 Sso.personal2.png. And you can only have one entry per contest, but you can always change it by reuploading over the image before the close date. Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 12:45, August 19, 2019 (UTC)
Yes, as a kit/apprentice you can do two images at a time. Once you become a warrior in PCA, you can have up to three. And as long as no one else has reserved Poppyfrost’s kit, you can do it. Make sure you reserve it, too. Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 13:16, August 20, 2019 (UTC)
Re: Commissions (plus art request)
You can make me an art if you want, I'll fill out the form after I address your other part of the message. As for that part, I cannot make you two images, as the Image Policy states you can only have one personal image (contests are an exception).
For the image, I'd like the shorthaired warrior, eye color sky blue, pelt color gray, and if possible, mottles on the head, tail, and legs. Hope you have fun making Tuliptalon!. --Boo!flower Human no more 22:55, August 19, 2019 (UTC)
No problem, glad I could help. Try checking out the tutorials here, there should be something about stripes that will help you. You can't reserve Whitewing now, but when I find out when we're releasing the W batch, I could shoot you a DM on discord to let you know in advance so you'll have a better chance of getting her. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 15:24, August 20, 2019 (UTC)
Probably sometime in September... not completely sure. But I'll still let you know as soon as I find out. I am on vacation right now, but I could possibly make you a stripe guide once I get home? You want something like a placement guide, or what tools you need to make them? I use GIMP and i recall you use Pixlr, but the guide should still be of some help, even if the tools arent all the same. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 20:48, August 20, 2019 (UTC)
I know it cam be hard to sit and wait for a CBA, but I don't recommend asking leads to do it. A lead will get to it when it's ready, like they do with all the other images. —PatchfeatherHail Satan, welcome Year Zero 14:35, August 22, 2019 (UTC)
some good alternatives, because I can't really recommend pirating sai because that's just not good - are GIMP, which is what a few users here use, as its very similar to Photoshop, only its free. Firealpaca I'm pretty sure is free as well - I don't know too much about that one though.
if you mean chararts are hard to make - not for me - art is a career for me, so a lot of this comes naturally after years of having to do it. but practice makes for a lot of and experimenting too - finding a way that makes chararting fun is always good :D
I don’t really have many instructions on how to make chararts unfortunately! I’ve been working on a video of my progress, which, I’m hoping to maybe add to the char art tutorials with lead permissions - but that’s on my back burner at the moment - sorry! — max s̨hout́ ̨at ͠th̢e ҉devi͞l͢ (00:01, 25/8/2019)
sorry i don't really take commissions via wikia/sites unless its proper paid work - (i'm aware that sounds kinda uptight, but, i don't work for free). i'm sure there are other users who might be able to help you with linearts, but, i'm afraid i can't do 'em just willy-nilly.
also your base looks really good! maybe add some shading to -> this side of the back leg, as you'd have shadow there to show the cat's leg bending in that position, but, other than that it looks pretty good! — max s̨hout́ ̨at ͠th̢e ҉devi͞l͢ (08:14, 25/8/2019)
sorry I've just had a long day and have a tendancy to skim read poorly. i'm not really open for any form of commissions at the moment due to work projects + end of year project for my diploma, so i'm gonna have to say sorry again for not being able to take anything on at the moment.

Yeah no problem! You’re already improving a lot and it’s great! Improvement is an continuing process ^^ And yeah I can do two for you, though normally users are supposed to only request one. But it’s a long weekend regardless and I don’t mind ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And thanks for the references; those will make it easier. They should be done by Monday if not sooner. Okay, they're done! I've uploaded both of them over your personal file. I hope you like them and let me know if you would like any changes! Here are the finished artworks: Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 04:19, September 2, 2019 (UTC)
