Vixenkit is born to Beetlenose and Sunfish alongside her sister Grasskit. Beetlenose often visits the nursery so that he could see his mate and their kits. When Silverkit will not let Vixenkit into the nest, Vixenkit complains to her mother, Sunfish, who comforts her and says that Silverkit would let her in if she asked nicely. Silverkit says that she is only trying to make Vixenkit and Grasskit grow up faster, since she is bigger than them.

Leopardstar's Honor

Vixenleap is now a warrior alongside her sister Grasswhisker and adopted sister Silverstream. Their parents have a new litter consisting of Whitekit. While hunting, Leopardfur remarks to Sunfish how Vixenleap, Grasswhisker, and Silverstream grew into fine warriors, though Sunfish remarks they had each other while Whitekit is by himself. Vixenleap watches on proudly during Whitepaw's apprentice ceremony alongside her family. When Sunfish is gravely wounded, Mudfur asks Beetlenose to check on his kits to get him out of the medicine cat's den. Vixenleap, Grasswhisker, Silverstream, and Whitepaw visit Sunfish frequently in the medicine cat's den, though Sunfish eventually dies from her wounds.

Whitepaw struggles to refocus on his training following Sunfish's death, so Leopardfur encourages him to spend time with his sisters. Later, Beetlenose leads a hunting patrol with Vixenleap, Grasswhisker, and Petaldust. During a Gathering, Vixenleap and Whiteclaw chat with some ShadowClan cats. When the camp floods, Leopardfur orders Vixenleap and Emberdawn to help evacuate everyone. Vixenleap and Shadepelt help rebuild the dens following the flood. Following the reveal of ThunderClan sheltering Brokenstar, Vixenleap expresses her dismay of ThunderClan's secret during the Gathering.

When a fire strikes in ThunderClan's forest territory, Loudbelly's call through the warriors' den wakes up Vixenleap, Leopardfur, and Sedgecreek. Vixenleap later shares a trout with her father Beetlenose and witnesses Leopardfur announce Crookedstar's death. Later, Vixenleap and Mistyfoot escort Tigerstar into their camp. Now a part of TigerClan, Vixenleap participates in the assault on WindClan's camp when Tallstar refuses to join. Mudfur treats her injuries following the battle. Vixenleap witnesses Tigerstar's death at the claws of Scourge, the leader of BloodClan. Leopardstar agrees to join Firestar in LionClan, and Vixenleap takes part in the battle against BloodClan.

• In Su Susann's "Missing Kits" on Vicky's Facebook, Vixenkit earned her warrior name of Vixentail and was described as a black she-cat with green eyes and a tail with a reddish hint. She and Heavystep were mates and their daughters were Graymist and Otterheart.
