This is a style guide for World articles, implemented after contributor consensus.

General Considerations[]

These are some guidelines that all World articles should fulfill.

  • Article and section titles and Category names shall be nouns or noun phrases with correct capitalization. They shall be in singular (f.i. Twoleg instead of Twolegs), except if the concept is always referred to in plural (f.i. Sunningrocks).
  • Write and capitalize the names of locations and concepts as they appear in the book (e.g. sun-drown-place instead of Sun-Drown-Place, Gathering instead of gathering etc).
  • Articles shall be encyclopedic in content, mentioning every aspect of the topic without bias. If there are conflicting descriptions in the books (e.g. different definition of a concept), both should be mentioned in the article.
  • Create links for other wiki articles whenever applicable; do not let pages get orphaned. One link for a certain other page in an article body is enough; lists references might contain an exception for aesthetic considerations.
  • Spoiler tags should be put at the beginning and the end of things related to the plot.
  • Book Mentions / History sections should be structured appropriately by series / book, and text should be indented by one tab
    • Note: For location / creature articles, the title for the section describing the book appearances should be "Book Mentions". For Clans, this section should be named "History".
  • When writing a synopsis (such as the Book Mentions of a location), use present tense. Do not alter present and past tenses when describing a plot; past tense is only used for things that happened before the storyline (e.g. a flashback)
  • Use in-universe terms, such as "sunhigh" instead of noon, "moon" instead of month
  • References sections shall have the title "References and citations".
  • Article should be included in correct categories.
