Wikian of the Month
So this is something I was curious about. Not sure if this should be discussed here since it will not just be an award, I was wondering if we could establish a Wikian of the month. Basically, we would create a forum, people would have about maybe a few days to nominate a user (someone they consider outstanding and deserves to be Wikian of the month), and after that, users could vote. It would have a "support" and "oppose," and the person nominated would obviously have to accept the nomination.
For example, if we were to do a June one ... we would have to start like, now, and have the voting end on the last day of June and then establish it. I would think that the user would get an award, and then have themselves featured on the front page. Users should not be nominated six months apart, (for example, if one were to win in June, they could not be nominated again until January), you must be active to receive a nomination, and you may not vote for yourself, only someone else (but you do not have to vote.) And if we would create a page that explains it, we would have the winner of that month on there.
To elaborate, if we were to nominate someone for a certain month, we would have to start the month before. If we were to nominate someone to be Wikian of the month of June, we would have to nominate them in May, if July then June, August then July, and so on so on.

I like this idea. And maybe have the wikian's favorite cat in the award or leader of medicine cat as they have higher status- instead of Firestar.Needletail 🐾#Litten 18:28, May 3, 2018 (UTC)
We can switch Firestar's current award (which is 10k edits) to Gray Wing, which will leave that open^ then it'll all fit nicely. I'm for the idea - and it runs on the same clockwork as project FAs as well, so it'd be nice to add it to the main page —spooky is that... a furry cat?!? 18:45, 5/03/2018
I think it would be way too much a hassle to keep changing the images - that would mean it would affect other users' awards if they were to receive it. Appledash the light of honor 19:14, May 3, 2018 (UTC)
I definitely like this idea and like having Firestar as it, although I think it should be one cat, and I'm pretty sure having it as Firestar would make us change the 10k award to something else, and I'm not sure how well that could work out.

I'm not really a big fan of Firestar being the main cat. Plus changing the other awards will be a hassle, and I think should be Gray Wing then. Or just our favorite cat. Needletail 🐾#Litten 20:35, May 3, 2018 (UTC)
Why not do something similar to the featured articles and have the "chosen by StarClan" theme? Like: This user must have been chosen by StarClan as they were the Wikian of the Month for May 2018! and the StarClan symbol. -Rustle it takes a leap of faith20:47 Thu May 3 2018

I love this idea! I don't know who the cat in the award should be, but I like the sound of it being Firestar. And think having the "chosen by StarClan" thing is a great idea. —PatchfeatherHangar 18, I know too much 22:11, May 3, 2018 (UTC)

As stated in Discord, I do not think it should be "Gray Wing has named," for it will be the Wiki members voting and I will technically be presenting the award. I do not mind if we use Gray Wing as the image for the award. I will be drafting something which I will link later. Appledash the light of honor 01:28, May 4, 2018 (UTC)
I love that StarClan idea, and I think using Gray Wing as the icon is alright, although the using the StarClan icon I would think would be better since it is from StarClan, if that makes any sense.

For a short term idea we have decided to do 2 weeks for nominations, 2 weeks for voting, but right now that is only for this month. Does anyone want to do that for long term, or does anyone have any other ideas? Appledash the light of honor 05:13, May 5, 2018 (UTC)
I like this idea! And although I do love Gray Wing, I think the StarClan one would be more special. Sorta like the 'ultimate award' thing. Is there any specific cat that represents StarClan or something?Stealthf🔥re ❤Warriors Forever!❤ 21:08, May 7, 2018 (UTC)
I wouldn't think so. I would say Spottedleaf since she gives 95% of prophecies but I'm pretty sure we have an award for her. I know the first cat in the series to go to StarClan is Fluttering Bird, but she is a pretty minor character. I think the only major death in DoTC is Gray Wing, so I think he would work pretty well.
