Blossomkit

Been mulling about this, but is it safe to assume Blossomkit (ShC) and Blossomkit (OT) are the same cat? Both are white kits with the same cause of death around the same time period. I know that was an old Su cite, but the family tree confirms Dawncloud's two kits she mentioned as dying in battle as Swampkit and Blossomkit. For the other Blossomkit, Rock mentions she died in battle under Brokenstar's rule. Any thoughts? Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 03:56, August 3, 2019 (UTC)

Yes, please merge the pages. It's really obvious they are the same. I also think Tanglefur/Tanglewhisker should be merged as well, as their descriptions are the same, and they both are RiverClan elders. --Greenflower Neon Lights 04:00, August 3, 2019 (UTC)

I feel Tanglefur and Tanglewhisker was like Brightsky and Nightsky, so I'm thinking that's another article we could possibly merge... I'm also good with merging both Blossomkit articles, since it's painfully obvious (at least to me) that these kits are meant to be the same. Jayce  ( 05:45, 8/03/2019 )

Agreed. Though what about Cherrypaw and Cherrypaw? They're both StarClan cats and we at least know the latter one was born in ThunderClan. Seeing how Spottedleaf seems to know the one that appears in Spottedleaf's Honest Answer, this one is PROBABLY the kit of Fuzzypelt and Robinwing since Spottedleaf would have certainly been alive when they were born. —Danny GVivaLaVida 14:55, August 4, 2019 (UTC)

^^I think we can merge Blossomkit, same with Tanglefur/Tanglewhisker, seems like just a name mistake there. I'm not really sure about merging the Cherrypaw's though. I've always assumed they were the same cat, but is Spottedleaf appearing to know them enough proof they're the same as Fuzzypelt and Robinwing's kit? It's entirely possible they are the same, but it's also possible Spottedleaf just met this Cherrypaw in StarClan. I don't really think there's enough evidence to support merging them. —PatchfeatherFeral roots are calling me back home 16:44, August 4, 2019 (UTC)

I'm for Tanglefur/whisker merging. As for the Cherrypaws, I don't think we have enough information to assume they're the same. Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 16:21, August 6, 2019 (UTC)

Character categories

I really think we should start giving characters the categories based on the books they appear in, not by name. I never understood why we did this, but it seems kinda stupid that we do. For example, Firestar doesn't have categories for Into the Wild to A Dangerous Path because he was Firepaw and Fireheart, but he's the same character that appeared in those five books, just different names and ranks. Doesn't make much sense to me having it the way we do now.—Danny GVivaLaVida 02:38, August 10, 2019 (UTC)

Yes, this should definitely be a thing. The characters are the same, those categories should belong to them. --Greenflower Neon Lights 02:46, August 10, 2019 (UTC)

I also second this, and it's something that's always bothered me, too. A good example would be like we did for the early settlers; such as Dust Muzzle. This also includes kit and warrior categories, too. Overall, it's the same character and we should treat it as such. Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 03:13, August 10, 2019 (UTC)

Not sure of why we originally decided to have it the way it is, but it doesn't make sense to keep it that way, so sure. Might be hard to make sure we don't leave any behind on accident, so we should probably try and make a checklist system and assign people alphabetical batches.spooky is that... a furry cat?!? 02:27, 8/11/2019

I disagree with this. It’s too much clutter as it is and to have categories that aren’t for the page itself is misleading. Firestar was not a character in ITW... Firepaw was. Jayce  ( 21:11, 8/14/2019 )

I agree with putting all the books they appear in, not just by their current name. I think people see it as for example... Firestar doesn't have the ITW category so he must not appear at all in the book. Yes, it would be a lot of clutter, but it would make sense. – Cinna dear evan hansen, 21:23, August 14, 2019 (UTC)
