Have you tried using the sponge tool (I don't know if there's one on gimp...). It helps redden earpink and almost anything that contains a hot color: red, orange, purple and yellow. Dazzy 23:32, December 22, 2011 (UTC)

There is the dodge tool ;). Without the sponge tool, I like the use of a combination of Midtones Dodge, Midtones Burn, Highlights Dodge and Highlights Burn. It may not work, but sometimes if you use it in the right way, you can get the color or shade you want. There is a definitive light source. Its coming from the top/front right side. I copied the shading from Frogleap's apprentice image, and no one found anything wrong with the shading there. The shading is great, and this is such a beautiful cat, but I can't help but notice that some of the back leg farthest from us is not fully shaded, and if the light source is coming in which part of the back leg is in shadow, then all of it should be shaded, and unless she has paws in a darker color (I looked at her description and it was not mentioned) then the whole farthest back leg should be shaded. Reuploaded. I lightened the paws a little because they are supposed to be golden-brown, I defined the nose-pink, but the I took the nose color from the leader image, and I am not going to change it again. I also added shading to the furthest back paw, and thanks!
