Here are some guidelines all users must comply with
  1. Make sure to follow the guidelines.
  2. The limit is 40 images, regardless if some are CBAed or withdrawn. If you exceed it, your image will be immediately declined.
  3. Your image is yours until it is archived, do not reserve a new one until yours has completed CBA and/or has been archived due to other matters.
  4. If your image has been declined due to the one month limit, you must wait two weeks to reclaim your image. This gives other users the chance to work on it if they wish.
  5. If your image has gone less than three (3) days without comments, please do not ask for comments or a CBA. It is common to go a couple consecutive days without comments before a CBA is set into place. To ask before the three day timespan has passed puts your image at risk of being declined.
  6. Please do not align your images! This messes up the structure of the page.

Deputy Blanks - For Approval

Deputy.shortDeputy.long having trouble with the tails :// Splook sweet  creature 22:18 Sun Jan 24

I can give you a redline if youd like splook? Also the back legs feet are bothering me. Perhaps i can show you what would look best in the redline as well? Winter 22:54, January 24, 2016 (UTC)

Tip for the tails, most of the time a cats tail will curl away from their body or lie flat on the ground VelvetmoonPersonne n'échappe à mon regard! 23:09, January 24, 2016 (UTC)

I suck at explaining things, so here. I can't quite figure out how to explain how to fix the legs though, and I can't figure out a redline for it. idk ferk was here 23:34, 01/24/2016

Make the hind paws thicker and the knees should be more well-rounded. Songheart

A few suggestions, feel free to ignore them. Shinxy used Thunderbolt! 17:51 Wed Jan 27

the blanks are a little too small --Belllastar (talk) 00:21, January 29, 2016 (UTC)

No, they're not. o.o They're about the same size as many of the other blanks we have on here. Jayce(00:23, 1/29/2016)

The necks look thin to me. However, only tweak it if you feel that you need to. — paper · finches 17:54, January 30, 2016 (UTC)

reuploaded. I did a whole new tail placement that was suggested. I think it's working for the shorthaired, but does the longhair look alright? Splook sweet  creature 02:13 Sun Jan 31

It looks fine to me^^ but I think you can add some more tufts on the back of the tail? ~ Cheryl Champagne Problems 🍷 (07:15,1/31/2016)

The way the fur swoops up on the chest of the long-haired looks a little too cartoonish compared to the other blanks, at least in my opinion. Consider smoothing that out/making it more realistically fluffy, if that makes sense? It looks cool, don't get me wrong, I just don't think it fits the style of the other blanks. Jayie Unwritten words~ 23:08, February 2, 2016 (UTC)

Could you add more "fur lines" on the long hair's tail? - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 00:21,2/3/2016

This isn't meant to rush you, but here's a reminder to upload the blanks! I know you're busy, but giving the section a nudge wouldn't hurt... I think. =P Given that you are not bound by the one-week upload limit, this is nothing other than a courtesy or something. I'd say "friendly reminder", but that's usually used in a mocking tone, and you know that's not what I mean. Jayce(19:06, 2/5/2016)

The gap between the hind leg and the hind foot reminds me too much of a rabbit... Sagestream Visible only in the shadows 09:10, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

The curved line at the shoulder looks akward can I ask why it is there? VelvetmoonPersonne n'échappe à mon regard! 14:56, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

The hindlegs of both the short-haired and long-haired have different lengths to them. I suggest fixing them so they match? Songheart

I'm sorry for the massive nitpicky comment, but could you make the shoulder a bit wider, thin out the lines on the front toes some (and maybe shorten them),move the toe on the back foot backwards a tiny bit, move the far back leg forward a bit, make the close haunch attach to the leg a bit lower down, add a tiny bit more fluff to the bottom of the longhair's chest and haunch, make the far front foot a little wider, shorten the shorthair tail a tad, make the gap between the upper and lower whisker a bit wider and make the back of the heads attach to the neck a bit higher up (or the jaw a bit lower)? If you don't get what I mean, I'll gladly give a redline to show you. Most of this is optional. Shinxy used Thunderbolt! 16:01 Sat Feb 6

It doesn't look like a rabbit, Sagestream, and if it does, can you please tell her what to do, instead of just telling her what you think it looks like? Appledash the light of honor 19:32, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

A redline would be really helpful, Shinx :) Sometimes I get lost on what to do from just reading the text Splook sweet  creature 19:34 Sat Feb 6

Alright, then i think maybe you should shorten the gap between the leg and the foot. it just looks a bit awkward. Sagestream Visible only in the shadows 02:58, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

I already said that Sage :P Anyway, hope this helps. Shinxy used Thunderbolt! 10:53 Sun Feb 7

I think the tail could be raised a few pixels up on the back of the cat, and the neck needs to be thickened a bit ( http://prntscr.com/a1872f ), and the raised paw should be backed up a few pixels and made smaller. The tum could be dropped a pixel or two, and the ears made a bit neater. The longhair should probably have long fur all the way up to the chin too, as well as the shoulder being fuzzy. ferk was here 23:45, 02/9/2016

Add white to the chararts so they look like the other blanks. Great job! ^_^ Songheart

Sorry for bothering you again but could you add a little bit more fluff to the bottom of the longhair's chest while you're at it? Just one or two lines will do. Shinxy used Thunderbolt! 16:58 Tue Feb 16

Can I ask why the blanks have to be white? VelvetmoonPersonne n'échappe à mon regard! 17:29 16/2/16

It's just below the lineart, Velvet. All of the other blanks have that, so I don't see why these shouldn't. That can be added afterwards, though. And I said the same thing on Skype that I'm gonna say now, the feet are a bit too... flat, for lack of a better word. Using what Berry also said to me, a cat usually walks on their toes, so the only way they'd be completely flat is if they're sitting. Jayce(17:35, 2/16/2016)

As I said on Skype, the picture Splook based this off has the cat in the exact same pose with her legs on the ground. In fact, my cats' legs are on the ground when she's asking for food in the same position. :/ Appledash the light of honor 04:29, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

The back legs would be up in the air a little bit, as per Skye. Cats do in fact walk on their toesies. Winter 12:47, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

Also sorry foe edit spam but the whiskers that are going <== this way off the blank sre bothering me, since the other whiskers are flat against the side of the face. Basically get rid of those whiskers Winter 12:49, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

I think the back legs are fine. I have seen my cat and if you google images of a cat you will find some in this position or with their feet in that position. Just because it's not common doesn't make it inaccurate. VelvetmoonPersonne n'échappe à mon regard! 21:03, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

Exactly, Velvet. You bring up an amazing point. Anyways, here's a picture of the legs Splook used: [1] They're not on their toes. Splook's legs are fine. Appledash the light of honor 01:37, February 18, 2016 (UTC)

If someone would like to argue the opposite, may you please draw a redline and show me what it would look like if the legs were altered? Splook sweet  creature 02:05 Thu Feb 18

No, you don't need to change it becuase it's fine. I provided proof that cats legs cna look like it and in general, they can. Appledash the light of honor 02:06, February 18, 2016 (UTC)

Hey now, chill. She asked for a redline to see what they'd look like, and there's nothing wrong with that. If she chooses to not do so after the redline is given, then that's fine. But since she did ask for one to support the argument against her, then I think she should be given one. (I can't redline, sorry) Jayce(02:10, 2/18/2016)

I'm not particularly bothered what happens with the back legs, but is this what you guys had in mind? Shinxy used Thunderbolt! 15:18 Thu Feb 18

I can do a redline later, but for now, I'd agree with what others are saying and say that something with the back legs needs to be changed. Yes, cats can lower themselves entirely on the "heel" of their leg (for lack of a better term). But the upper part of the leg would be more stretched out if that were the case, because if the rear is that high in the air, the leg needs to stretch out to compensate for the lower part of the leg being on the ground. You can see it in the picture Icy provided; yes, the lower leg is all on the ground, and you can see how the rear end doesn't appear to be low to the ground, but closer to even with the shoulders. But you can see how the "thigh" (I really don't know the proper words for cat anatomy) is stretch out, not rounded and curled up like drawn here, because it has to stretch out to account for the height lost from the lower leg being on the ground. I probably rambled too much and didn't explain myself very clearly, but I'll do a redline later that will hopefully make what I'm trying to say here clearer. ^^ That, or you could go the direction that Shinx is suggesting and take the lower leg off the ground entirely, so you can keep the bend to the upper leg. Jayie Unwritten words~ 21:51, February 18, 2016 (UTC)

Almost a week later. XD http://www.ezimba.com/work/160224C/ezimba11244534222500.png Here's a redline for the legs/back. But I'm not sure I did it totally right. Splook, could you post a link to the full picture you used for a reference, by chance? It might help me figure out how to redline it better, if I can see how low down the back was and such. Anyway, if not, hope this helps. ^^ Jayie Unwritten words~ 17:11, February 23, 2016 (UTC)

I'm gonna be "that person", but these really do need to be uploaded soon. She's only uploaded twice in February, and while I understand that life can be hell, only uploading twice in a 30 day period isn't quite the best thing. It's not fair to anyone to just have these sit without any activity. Sorry if this is coming off as rude, but I do have a job to do as leader. Jayce(23:01, 2/29/2016)

reuploaded. Used Jayie's technique with the leg, hope it's fine.

Alright, I deeply apologize for the lack of uploads, but I am really busy. I am swamped with bookwork and studying every single night, and frankly, the wiki is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I know how eager you guys are to do art, and I'm sorry that it's taking this long, but I'm trying my best. I'm not trying to preach at how busy I am or whatever, nor am I defending myself for not uploading, but I'm really trying to cope with all my schoolwork, home things, and this responsibility. I'm working to get these approved, and I'm not going to give up, so please bare with me.

Once again, very sorry, and I'm trying my hardest to go in some sort of direction with the back leg. Splook sweet  creature 01:53 Tue Mar 1

I'm sure I'll relate to you next year, and I'm scared. But aside from the hind leg being too flat (I wouldn't think that'd be a difficult) I think it looks perfectly fine. Warriorcat1195 (talk) 01:56, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

What do you mean by "too flat"? It's on the ground and she was using the examples the others gave her. Appledash the light of honor 02:00, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry, I haven't been paying attention to all of this conversation. I just read some of this, so, uh, nvm (shy chuckle)Warriorcat1195 (talk) 02:20, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

The angle of the lower leg is definitely better. :)Though the lower leg seems too thin now compared to the front legs. The hip is still too rounded - with how stretched out it is, it should be less filled out, and the line should be flatter. I can do another redline for the shorthair, but I show what I meant for that on the longhair redline. The belly line is too far up on both blanks; there isn't enough room to fit the cat's ribcage and belly. Lower it, and make it jut up less on the longhair, if that makes sense. Again, I show it in my redline, but I can redo it/do one for the shorthair/explain myself more clearly if you want. If it's possible, I would really like to see the image you used as a reference (the full image, not the partial image of the legs that Icy posted). It would really help if I could see what you were trying to reference to be able to explain my critiques. I hope that made sense... Jayie Unwritten words~ 05:29, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

The back legs are not anatomically correct at all tbh. I sent you a redline on skype splook. Also remove the whiskers on the front of the muzzle they shouldnt be showing if the others are going backwards Winter 23:01, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

I'm getting conflicting opinions on the back legs again. Which do I follow now? Splook sweet  creature 23:53 Tue Mar 1

The redline jayie provided here, I think. The haunch is much thinner and closer to the bum and less round... That's how it'd be in a cat standing like this. In addition to that, the longhair's tail should look more like that at the top, as it looks unnatural rn. ferk was here 00:22, 03/2/2016

I'm sorry to repeat myself, but it would make it a lot easier to show what I meant if you gave the link for your reference... I saw the partial picture Icy provided, and I was having trouble telling the position of the back and the other hind leg were from that partial shot. Jayie Unwritten words~ 03:50, March 2, 2016 (UTC)

I believe this is the image you used as reference from looking at the picture Icy posted I found what I believe is it. VelvetmoonPersonne n'échappe à mon regard! 18:24, March 2, 2016 (UTC)

can you move the tails more to the left slightly? they look much too long and stretched out at the base of the tail as they are right now, especially the longhaired one. and I'm probably just being picky with this one but maybe move them up a couple pixels too, they seem too...low? david 🌈 16:05, March 5, 2016 (UTC)

Hopefully my last thing - the elbow/shoulder part feels too thick on both. I made that correction on my last set of redlines and moved the elbow-line over to the left to make it seem less thick, could you make that change on both? http://prntscr.com/ap21i5 Some suggestions. Basically, round the chest on the shorthair more, round that heel more, make the haunch line shorter, over to the right some, and more rounded, and define that shoulder. ferk was here 22:44, 04/6/2016

Actually, I think the bend of the haunch and the position of the front leg are fine, considering they're positioned like in the picture that was used as a reference for this: http://prntscr.com/ap21i5 But maybe that's just me... Jayie Unwritten words~ 00:14, April 9, 2016 (UTC)

I understand that's what it looks like in the picture, but it's unnatural looking when it's a blank; that's just the way blanks are tbh, you have to alter them to make them look naturally positioned, because simple 2D lines can't capture the depth and crap of the actual image. ferk was here 00:29, 04/9/2016

I don't think it looks unnnatural. That's how it realistically looks, and it works. I get that 2D lines can't always show the complexities of texture and such, but the line is pretty clearly defined of were the bend of that hip is, and I don't think it makes sense to deviate from that claiming it looks unrealistic when it's there in the actual real-life photo. Jayie Unwritten words~ 02:23, April 9, 2016 (UTC)

Well, the longhair's tail is thinner in the middle than at the beginning --Falcon 49 (talk) 07:55, April 9, 2016 (UTC)

Could you define the texture a little as well? I can't really see it, and it's more visible on his other images. —Ivy 00:42, April 9, 2016 (UTC)

I feel a bit wary commenting as I'm your apprentice, but do you mind defining the ear pink a bit? It looks a little bit blended in with the brown. Other than that, terrific! Jaysnow (talk) 20:42, April 18, 2016 (UTC)

Honestly I think it's fine as it is now. Ear pink doesn't have to be super defined, after all. I can tell the difference just fine anyway. Berry Midnight Monster's Parade! 21:05 Mon Apr 18

Would you mind lightening her just a tad? She looks a bit too brown, unless you want it like that, but I guess I'm just saying she looks darker than tan. However it could just be my eyes.Dewsplash (talk) 23:50, April 18, 2016 (UTC)
