This is the Project Character Art Approvals PagePlace new character art for approval here. Discussions should be routed to the discussion page, while all Art Tweaks should be routed to the tweak page, and all Tweak Nominations should be routed to the nominations page.

Here are some guidelines all users must comply with Make sure to follow the guidelines. The limit is 40 images, regardless if some are CBAed or withdrawn. If you exceed it, your image will be immediately declined. Your image is yours until it is archived, do not reserve a new one until yours has completed CBA and/or has been archived due to other matters. If your image has been declined due to the one month limit, you must wait two weeks to reclaim your image. This gives other users the chance to work on it if they wish. If your image has gone less than five (5) days without comments, please do not ask for comments or a CBA. It is common to go a couple consecutive days without comments before a CBA is set into place. To ask before the five day timespan has passed puts your image at risk of being declined. Please do not align your images! This messes up the structure of the page.

honestly i'm pretty sure these are a bit big so if yall want i can try and resize them. sorry they're not the exact same as on the nominations, i used them for my own wiki and tweaked the tails and long fur a bit, hope its not a problem. madie ^{the wicked witch of the west}

the closest front leg seems to be a little too bendy, and should be just a tad straighter. (from what I can tell off similar refs) and I think the shoulder lineart goes too far inwards compared to the longhair. david ^🌈 21:29, June 16, 2018 (UTC)

The stripes on the legs could be smudged out more, and maybe have one or two more stripes on the haunch that go more diagonally between the ones that go just downwards and just > way. iirc also the muzzle should be pale and the stripes go lightly over the chest, to match the other images —spooky ^{is that... a furry cat?!?} 17:42, 6/18/2018

The earpink color is still the wrong color, and the base color looks darker on this than the other images. Might be the shading in this case, if so define the light so the base shows through, or lighten the base itself to match^ —spooky ^{is that... a furry cat?!?} 14:48, 6/18/2018

Re-uploaded 100% it's the right color now. Completely redid the shading, but I don't seem to get it right. Any tips? Also, I don't really understand what you mean with "define shading depth". Help? :P --

There's shading leaking behind the ---> ear. And it's okay! Shading depth is the gradience of the shading. Take a look at any object in the real world that has shadows on it. Notice how the shadows are all the same color? There's depth to it. Take a look at Broken's image above yours of Skywatcher. Notice how the shadows are blurred and have some depth (ie are not the same color)? The shading in the center of the image is different from the shading near the lineart.

One way to add shading depth, add another layer on top of your preexisting shading layer. Add some more shading with whatever color you used prior but make it a bit darker and recede it a bit so the first shading layer is shown. Blurr/smudge it however you want and lower the opacity so that it seems smooth against the other shading layer. Most people use 2 to whatever shading layers. Here some visual aids for you. Here are my shading layers for Parsleyseed. You don't have to have that many, but I tend to be messy with shading. It's all about your preference. Here is just my first layer of shading. The left side has the opacity lowered, while the right side has it raised so you can see it. Here are the second layer and third layer of shading. Each layer is smoothed and has its opacity lowered so it appears to blend in. :D Vec ^{I am Iron Man! 👾} 19:51, June 18, 2018 (UTC)

Please don't get offended, but I feel the texture doesn't match the apprentice very well. When I made that, I used a brush to get the effect, and I'm not seeing the same thing here. I get the other images now currently have the texture style this one does, but my image is the first in this set and holds the master pattern. —Jayce(22:32, 6/17/2018)

Honestly, it was just a size one paint brush tool? Most people use the pencil tool for their textures (or even the pen???? seen that before too), but I was feeling weird and used the paint brush tool with two separate texture layers (a lighter one and a darker one). I would share the file, but I ended up zapping it (along with a few others;;;;) when I moved a bunch of stuff to clean up my laptop. Go ahead and nominate the other one if you want to. ^^ —Jayce(23:09, 6/17/2018)
