I think the color is fine, however, the eye doesn't seem to be filled in, and the white is leaking outside the lineart by the muzzle and paws, as well as a little bit on the foreleg farthest from us. Also, add/define the shading. Bluestar Leaf flying in the wind 21:57, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Generally I'm not one to pick at black cats being dark... lord knows I love darker colors, but this is too dark. It looks almost #000000 black, when it most certainly shouldn't be. If you could lighten it up, it might fix the issue that both Potato and I have about seeing the shading. —Jayce(16:17, 10/19/2020)

It actually doesn't look like there's very much shading at all. I'd say expand it everywhere. If need be, try adding some highlights as well, that sometimes helps with black cats. —Jayce(14:47, 10/21/2020)

I'm just gonna pop in here and say that just because two images have the same opacity shading, doesn't mean it'll always work. In this case you lucked out, but it honestly does not work all the time, given how our blanks are very different sizes. That being said, could you define the depth of shading in the --> ear? I think maybe if it's smoothed out a bit, it might fix the darkness issue too. It's not so much dark as it is abrupt, imo. Perhaps lighten it just a smidge and smooth it out, and see what it gets you. —Jayce(14:48, 10/21/2020)

Here's his unshaded deputy for colour matching and whatnot! He's got a slight texture on the black, and the white's a lot rougher with the smudging. There isn't really any black around his eyes, like you have too. To match his set, I'd recommend adding in some claws to his back paws too. Can you also fill in the nose and pawpads too? One last thing I promise too, can you define the shading on the back, and maybe lighten it up on the collar and add some depth too?
