^Except for the two lines of shading between the shoulder/haunch and the belly, those are about the darkness you should probably aim for on the rest of the shading. Those two lines seem fairly blocky and look somewhat like blurry markings - I think that could be fixed by thinning them out and making them curve a little to the shape of the body, and perhaps making them reach a little less far up. Since I'm bad at explaining, I think this is a little closer to what you should be going for with that. Shinxy used Thunderbolt! 08:27 Fri Sep 16

Erm. I don't understand how to do that....--Foxey Whispers and enchantments 15:50, September 18, 2016 (UTC)
Basically, follow the redline Shinx gave you earlier. The shading goes up in two very straight lines thick lines and it doesn't quite look natural as a light source. Cats are not blocky really, so the shading should bend with the curves of a cat's body. For lack of better words, see how this looks like a pin straight line? Probably should curve more. Also, shading's leaking away from the lineart on the back of the head and tail. —spooky is that... a furry cat?!? 16:21, 9/18/2016

Is this reserved? If it is I'm sorry, just decline it. I'm still a noob. And if I may ask, how do I reserve something? Jose1106 (talk) 23:11, September 21, 2016 (UTC)
No, this is not reserved, but in order to continue this you need to add a reservation yourself. You've got the option to join the project here, but isn't mandatory. And then, just add yourself a slot on the chart and find your spot in alphabetical order, then add reservation and date. Since this is your first art, though, please change the heading to "~For Evaluation" instead of "~For Approval", until a lead deems it ready to be "~For Approval" Nice job, though —spooky is that... a furry cat?!? 22:46, 9/21/2016

There's like, one stripe on the right paw that goes down a little further than the warrior image, so could you perhaps remove it? And also maybe trim the stripes on the chest back a few pixels to match the warrior's placement and make sure to add your reservation, since technically an image should be reserved before being on the page anyway —spooky is that... a furry cat?!? 23:39, 9/21/2016

Reuploaded Defined shading. Is it okay now, cause if not I think ill need your help Snowdappple. Jose1106 (talk) 10:33, September 22, 2016 (UTC)
Alright, so forgive for the long wall of text in advance, but here's my help. I've provided you with a couple redlines found here and here that explain what you should do (forgive my handwriting in a small space). Anyway! The first image shows three different problems I'm seeing, other than the shading depth issue. The first one is waste around the whole image, as you can see where I circled in the red. The easiest way to get rid of that is whatever program you use, use the wand select tool, make sure you've selected your lineart layer, select outside the charart in all of the blank spaces, and select each layer in turn and erase outside the image to find that darn dirty waste :p. The green circle is where I believe there's been blurred lineart. That's easily fixable by taking the blank image and putting that over the top of the current lineart. And where I circled in blue, is where I think I see leaking nose-pink. You don't have to necessarily blur or smudge your nose pink, as many an image on here have plain old nose-pink, some without shading - and that's absolutely fine!
The second image shows where to put your shading depth, which I believe I'm still having trouble seeing. I've looked at all of your previous uploads, and all I can see is that you blurred a couple stripes. The purple/violet/pink whatever is where you should put your shading depth. Make a separate layer and put it above your normal shading. Then select a color that's a little darker than your other shading color, or you can select the same color as your other shading and put this layer on multiply. What multiply does is makes it darker anyway. Put the new shading around where you see the pink/purple and then blur or smudge it, but not too much! I hope this helps and sorry about the wall of text ^^; ✧Winter✧ 13:50, 9/22/2016
Will do! Thanks! Jose1106 (talk) 14:00, September 22, 2016 (UTC)

File:Vixenkit.star.pngThis is my first charart. I tried my best, but I just have this feeling that I totally failed :P At least it's hard to fail a solid black cat, it's not too easy to stop the billion flaws in the art :P
❀Cinderpool ❀ Insert good quote here...
If you used solid black to color in the whole charart, I completely suggest not doing that. Put your color a little lighter black but a really dark gray, and that way you can define the shading and the light source, as I cannot see either of those. Also try not to align your images. ✧Winter✧ 12:56, 9/22/2016
Reuploaded I forgot to save it in layers, so I had to redo the whole thing, oops :P ❀Cinderpool ❀ Insert good quote here...
This looks really nice, but should she even get the image? As far as I can tell, we don't know when she died -- she could have been a warrior or an apprentice, so we don't know whether she'd get a kit or an adult StarClan image. I think this would be like Emberkit (CJ) or Tumblekit, who don't get an image. I apologize if I am mistaken, however. —Ivy ☆ 20:38, September 22, 2016 (UTC)
Technically, if it says 'Vixenkit' on the confirmation, then she would get the StarClan kit blank, imo. ✧Winter✧ 21:20, 9/22/2016
