Willowpelt (K) ~ For Approval
This looks horrible I know Sandy My Talk 09:25, December 19, 2019 (UTC)
Recede the shading on the face a bit, and there's leaking shading along the face, foreleg, and haunch. Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 02:02, December 20, 2019 (UTC)
Reuploaded Sandy My Talk 08:59, December 25, 2019 (UTC)
Smooth out the shading everywhere but the tail. Also, the shading is leaking on the haunch and I think the face as well (I'm not sure if the light between the shading and lineart on the face is intentional, but I don't think it should be there anyway given your source). —Ivy ☆ 14:42, December 26, 2019 (UTC)
The ear pink seems to be fading on <—— side of the ear. I’m not sure if you did that on purpose but it seems like it just doesn’t fit right with the image---Glacier () 16:15, December 26, 2019 (UTC)
its a stylist kinda thing, ear fur doesn't have to fill the entire lineart, and adding to Ivy's comment, the depth could definitely be defined as well ❀ mei ❀ GOGOBEBE 17:34, December 26, 2019 (UTC)
Similar with the warrior, the eye color needs to match the set. This looks a little too dark right now. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 17:39, December 26, 2019 (UTC)
Reuploaded. I referenced the eyes from the StarClan file btw Sandy My Talk 06:31, December 27, 2019 (UTC)

There's still shading leaking in the areas Patch mentioned. Add some more shading along the lower jaw, behind the ear closest to us, and the back heel/haunch area peeking out from behind. Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 00:22, January 2, 2020 (UTC)
I probably won't get this done. I'd like to withdraw. Sandy My Talk 09:48, January 6, 2020 (UTC)

I tried out some bounce light so let's see how this goes.. the shading also does not want to co-op with me. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 20:35, January 4, 2020 (UTC)

can you maybe move the white on the left eye a bit? With it centered in the pupil its making the pupils in each eye look different sizes. And add some light to the chin. Eggheart!🐥A True Warrior
Reuploaded Changes are not showing for me; just in case check the file history for the updated image. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 21:35, January 4, 2020 (UTC)
Smooth out the main body shading just a bit more? Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 05:17, January 6, 2020 (UTC)
I think the shading could most be smoothened out on the chest. Also, there appears to be leaking shading on the top of the shoulder by the lineart. Eggheart!🐥A True Warrior 16:50, January 6, 2020 (UTC)
That's bounce light, Egg. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 16:53, January 6, 2020 (UTC)
Bounce light should be going down the whole length of the back then, not just the shoulder. There would also be a bit of a bounce light on the tail too. — max it is the real thing, (19:14, 06/1/2020)

Not sure if this is supposed to be there but the shading seems to disappear on <—— side (by the spine/back)---Glacier () 01:03, January 7, 2020 (UTC)
It's bounce light, Oceanpelt. It's intentional, and I was told to add more (hence why I reupped a while ago). --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 01:21, January 7, 2020 (UTC)
It should be a more uniform line, at the moment it looks quite patchy which is why it looks like leading shading. It should be one very soft line on the edge of the shading ( I normally have my base shading layer cover the area, and then have my depth layer create the bounce light). — max it is the real thing, (01:33, 07/1/2020)
Oh, what’s bounce light?—-Glacier () 06:15, January 7, 2020 (UTC)
Reuploaded So I tried doing that, and the shading became even more gross than it already was. I have removed the bounce light, and now I'm much happier with the image. As for your question, Ocean, bounce light is where light shines on a place where there is shading. The shading "bounces" off the light, giving the illusion light is bouncing off the image. Some users use it as a way of gaining more depth for their images. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 23:54, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
(Sorry for this comment, but I want to clear up what a bounce light is, and this in no way pertains to the image in question.)
Sorry, Potato but that's not entirely what a bounce light is - a bounce light essentially another light is bounced off a reflective surface onto the subject to achieve a softer lighting effect. It's generally used in photography, but, can be used in art to achieve a better sense of a 3D object - seen here or here. It doesn't just appear where there is shading, but, because it is more light that is where it becomes more noticeable. The shading doesn't bounce the light at all, in this situation the ground would be a much more applicable reflective surface.
Just wanted to comment this to avoid misinformation being spread, as bounce lighting can be considered an advanced technique as it can easily appear as leaking shading when incorrectly used. — max it is the real thing, (04:26, 09/1/2020)

Could you add some shading depth! They're very pretty!! — ☆ paper · finches ★ 19:23, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
Given your light source, flip the shading on the top of the tail to the bottom of the tail. And perhaps recede the shading on the chin and muzzle? The stripes should also be more jagged to match the apprentice. Whoops didnt see you already commented on that Eggheart!🐥A True Warrior 20:07, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
The stripes should be thinner and sharper, more jagged like Egg said. Overall, I think what Thunder had originally matches better in terms of stripe style if you want to reference that ^^ Vec I am Iron Man! 👾 21:27, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
Re-up Sandy My Talk 23:41, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
Could you give the stripes a bit of a more "fuzzy" look to match the set? I think using a rough/fuzzy brush and continually smudging back and forth will help to achieve that. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 23:44, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
I don't seem to have the brush in my paint program. Maybe I could just smudge the stripes? (I use Medibang paint pro) Sandy My Talk 01:56, January 9, 2020 (UTC)
If you don't have a fuzzy brush, try smudging with a 1px brush back and forth. --Av Out of sight and out of mind () 01:59, January 9, 2020 (UTC)
Re-up I hope they're fuzzier Sandy My Talk 23:41, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
