I'm really sorry to have to say this, but I still can't see your light source. Maybe try shading placement like him. In order to follow that light source on this image, remove the chest and muzzle shading, and add light on <--- side of each leg. Also, remove the shading on the top of the tail. You should try defining the light source more, which means which /direction/ the light is shining the cat in (beautiful). If you want him to be shone from the right[1], fill the shading like this[2](as a reference). If you want him to be shone on the left like this[3], fill it like this[4] or to look like this[5](fill like this[6]. It's just basically one side without shading which is the direction light is shining from, and the shading is on the other side. Say if light is shining from the left(which means the shading is on the right)the shading should take up about 1/3-1/2 of main body, 1/4-1/3 for the head, and about 1/2 for the legs and tail. Looks better, but I still can't see your light source very well. The shading appears to be all around the image. It should only be on one side of the image. If you're doing a right light source stuff on the left should be shaded (ex: muzzle, chest) and if you're doing a left light source only stuff on the right (ex: top of the head, back) should be shaded. I'm sorry, but I can see her lightsource just fine. Just because it's not overly defined does not mean it's not there. Burnt and I think it's fine, and I'm going to continue the CBA. Overly defined shading on white cats looks gross, or in Cloudtail's case, it looked blocky before I had to tweak it. It looks almost the exact same as Tigerstar and many of the other Dark Forest images that were approved. Right now, it's 2-1 in favor of Icy's source as it is. I'm sorry, but I still don't understand why it needs to be fixed, when it's honestly fine. The front of the face, or at least the forehead and nose, should be in light if we're assuming the light is coming anywhere above or to the right of the image, and there shouldn't be shading along the back or shoulders at all, where there currently is. Personally, I think the shading is over-blurred, because I can't even tell where the light on the legs is or if there's even shading on some parts. Harder-edged shading may look gross on white cats, but you can get a sharper edge than this and still have it be visually pleasing. Rainlegs 22:55, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Hmm, not quite sure if the main body shading should be smoothed out, but I think the tail and legs in particular could be smoothed out a bit more. Could you also humor me and lighten the shading ever so slightly..? By maybe... no more than 5% on the opacity bar?
