Hi everyone. As of today, November 22, I have cleared the talk page of all the old comments and discussions, so we can start with a clean slate. The old comments are archived here, where they are available for viewing. You will see that I have posted comments in the pending art sections; DO NOT post just to re-state what I have said. Please note that there are new guidelines going into effect, which you may read on the guidelines page. Thanks! I'll go work on it now :). P.S.--Has nothing to do with this, but... can ANYONE tell me what happened to Bramble and why Oblivion's now leader? It's like one day I logged on and Bramble was listed as leader, then suddenly Oblivion... and I can't find anything about it. I checked PCA news, tried the (confusing) forums, and even poked around on Bramble's profile... nothing. Note: For some odd reason every time I clicked 'overwrite existing photo with yours' ('cause I have to name it Cinderheart.kit.alt), it would say 'success!' and I'd click 'return to editing', yet it would look exactly the same... Assuming this has a correct reference for now: Tawnypelt should be more ginger or orange-colored; this looks too brown/cream. The earpink is too small and too light, make it dark redder and a tad larger. Add a clearly visible highlight to the tail, and brighten the highlights. Darken the shading, make it thicker, and blur them thoroughly. Mostly it's if your shading or highlights or earpink looks really obvious, if you know what I mean? The shading/earpink/highlights need to look soft, like they were created by the sun, not by your computer =) Like if there are straight lines or if it just all around looks like you USED a pixellated brush to make the highlights/shading/earpink? It's not too hard. Just take the pencil tool, set it to a one-pixel brush, and modify the lineart. The blank linearts you download on the mainpage have a weird eye lineart. You have to draw over the lineart. Best thing to do to ensure accuracy is to download that picture I posted ^above^ and open it in your editing program in another window. Then open up Tigerheart's image and zoom in on the eye. Adjust the screen so that both the windows are open beside each other and then you can see when you make a mistake. Okay, I checked Brook's page and her alternate description was 'gray-brown', not gray and brown tabby striped. Also, the ear pink is a bit . . . ummm . . .lumpy looking and it's very purple-ish. I can see that her eye isn't plain white, but it is a very light shade of gray so darken it. The lineart is also smeared where some of the stripes are. Guidelines - New?

Hey leads! Look here! =) I was just wondering if we could put a new guideline into action. I've been noticing several users who've been uploading a new file every time they want to tweak their charart, simply because they don't know any better. I was hoping that we could put something in the guidelines about uploading a new version of the same file? It'd help clear up the file clutter and to avoid confusion about which image is which. Wildheart, that is an amazing suggestion. I have this sort of problem with my Project, Imagine, on another wiki. It does take up a lot of space on the wiki. I agree. There have also been a lot of user who've been uploading unnecessary alt.s for manga appearances and alt.s where there isn't really a difference (i.e. sandstorm's orange alt.). I think the thing about uploading sounds good. As for the thing about alts that cant be approved, the main thing is that they take up so much space, so why cant we have another section like Disscusion and Chararts for Approval, and call it Alternates? People could add it to the trivia, reserve it, and then ask if the difference is big enough, and a lead (only leads, not to be rude but we wouldnt need everyones two cents) could say weather it is good or not. Even then, that will only sovle the problem for a couple of months. Maybe we should make it so that new members cant post any pictures for like the first month. I like the idea of barring new users from adding a charart for their first month, so we might only get members who are really set on being a good member of the project, but something else that occurred to me is that Sign of the Moon comes out in about a month, so we might get a lot of arguments over chararts (I'm starting to doubt how many new apprentices actually read the guidelines carefully.) Maybe my idea is that we close the project to new users for a few weeks and brush up the guidelines and think of ways to re-enforce them. What if we had a check-in every few months? Users would have 2 or 3 weeks to just post their signature on a check-in page to prove that they're still active in this project? Night Shine could post something like 'spring check-in' on the news page and the users who are actually active would just place their signatures on the page, unless they've told us otherwise on the talk page that they're going somewhere. Anyone who doesn't post in the check-in would be made an elder, and if a user misses three check-ins, they're removed from the project. Thoughts? Scarletwind, I think that's brilliant. I also think users should join before posting, that way more members can get chararts approved. I'm not entirely agreeing with the month of being barred. New users would think they would be cheated on because they would have to wait a month to do anything. Maybe if they can comment on chararts being approved it wouldn't be so bad. And on alternates, we should do that. It would avoid confusion and so much space wouldn't be wasted on petty alternates, like dark gray instead of light gray, brown tabby instead of brown. I don't think that we should ban new members from commenting on chararts already up for approval, by commenting, they'd be able to see how the project works before they do anything major, sorta like a kit before they become an apprentice. (Maybe I'm suggesting we put in a kit rank for brand new users who haven't been a part of the project for a month). We could have a big, red banner in the guidelines that states that a new user cannot put a charart up for approval within the first month of being a member. So a join request could look a bit like this: "I'd like to join the project" "First read the guidelines" "I've read the guidelines" "You'd still like to join even though new users cannot have a charart up for approval within their first month of joining?" I like Scarletwind's first idea too. I also agree that they shouldn't be banned from posting comments on images, just from posting chararts until they've understood the way the project works. I don't know about the kit rank because we already have tons of apprentices, although a kit rank may split it up a little. Complaints

Okay, seriously? I am here to complain. I was checking in on WWiki, and Oblivion and Frostheart are never active. I respect both of them but really, what is a project without a leader and deputy? None of them are active, only on other sites. This is falling apart. I honestly think the new leader should be Nightshine. No one else.

Second, when did you get so many apprentices? Honestly, I think you're going to have to rid some of them who aren't active and make most of them warriors whom actually edited to the project.

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but I'll tell you anyway; Bramble has emailed me about changing the leadership for PCA and I'm awaiting another reply from her. Icestorm, PCA isn't the only one suffering. Project:Books is as well. Whitestorm is nowhere to be found, and there hasn't been a lot of activity there... I've noticed that there are a lot of apprentices joining and then doing nothing as well. We were just discussing this, actually. From what I've been told, Oblivion has other interesting and hobbies now. Helix told me, and look on my talk page if you don't believe me. Alternates for Manga

I'm sure most of us know that we don't do alternates for manga deprictions... I just have to wonder, why? We do characters only seen in manga, yes? Manga are considered cannon as well.
