This was almost a complete rewrite because of the general style of the article? Also, the Downgraded doc suggests adding a legacy section - would love to add one, but, I'm drawing blanks for what to write for it? Is pretty underlinked. Most of the characters, PW articles - all of it.
There is several instances of this; the comma should come before the ref.
Throughout, there's a lot of double referencing. All of that goes to the same [23]; it only needs the one, and then add another when the wording calls to reference to something different. No need to keep citing it within itself.
I don't really think having a 'Characters' section for Mistystar and Harestar is relevant, with how little content it does have.

Quotes on Battle with BloodClan[]

Seeing the quotes on Battle against BloodClan makes me wonder if all PW articles were to have quotes in their descriptions. Battle for ShadowClan (VoS), Battle of the border, Battle against the Sisters, Battle against the badgers (TNP), and The Sisters have it. It's more of a recent style addition but to say it's the only one is just blatantly false. It's not a requirement for an article to have it though, but it isn't doing anything bad by having them there. Max also put quite a lot of work into the Battle against BloodClan, so it looks quite rude that the quotes were simply removed without even being consulted.

If the maker of an article wants to have them there, they're allowed to do so and I encourage them since it, in my opinion, makes the article a bit nicer. —Hrafnsmál ^The^{^raven's}^{^{^call}} 23:10, August 26, 2020 (UTC)

All right, so the answer is clearly directed at me. I went through a whole 42 articles of Events, and only 4 articles of those events have quotes. Once I looked at the Guidelines for articles, the guidelines had a set section for quotes. Nothing about it stated any quotes in the article.

I actually find it somewhat of a rude response. I did not even know that Max wrote the article for that. I was simply editing it because I saw grammar mistakes and redundancy, and as I have been an active contributor of PW who never saw quotes in articles like that, I removed them. I apologize if anyone saw that as offensive, but since it is not seen that often, that is why I removed them, since it seemed they better belonged in the Quotes section than on the sections themselves.

In addition, I also write the Battle against the Badgers in Twilight. I did not add those quotes. Someone else did. Apple dash ^the ^light ^of ^honor 23:21, August 26, 2020 (UTC)

If anything, Thunder was irked; I don't find their answer rude, just firm and a bit tense, and correcting your stance that none of the other articles have quotes. They are limited in number, yes, but they do exist. But then again, Max is PW deputy, and they did say the quotes were fine. There's nothing wrong with them there, and it is a relatively new style for them to be added, so you were unaware. Which is fine.

PW is often an overlooked project and it has been slow to refine its content, which is most likely the reason the others do no have quotes on them. Which, in addition to the lack of updated guidelines, which I know is a problem throughout the wiki, but that is a valid point Icy has brought up. But it probably would've been better if you asked earlier, either on Discord, here, or on Max's talk page maybe, instead of jumping the gun and assuming the quotes were unwarranted. But I can see your thought process, Icy.

As to answer Echo's original question, should all of them have quotes throughout the article, in a way, yes imo. They do supplement the article throughout and immerse the reader, but I wouldn't say it's a requirement. Moreso a supplement, and they shouldn't be removed if they are there in the first place. Make sure to check over for any out-of-universe language such as "In the prologue". Also make sure the order of sections complies with how Project Character lays them out, as it should be the same formatting.

I'm also of the opinion that some of sections with two paragraphs that are single sentences, could be combined as well. Some of those sections could also possibly use some expanding, such as Rise of Scourge because the dogs in that manga played more of a role, from memory.

I'd recommend combing through the article again, as some of the oou language is still prevalent. Also, as listed on the project's main page - this article is in need of an expansion, and I believe some sections, most notably A Dangerous Path could use a serious look at due to the plot of the book.

I'd also recommend looking through the actual books themselves instead of looking at the book summaries - as some, like TRoS, are themselves, in need of updates and such to match with current standards. Natural disasters ~ Silver Nomination[]

I completely revamped the page; I expanded, updated and added information from the books. I did my best to elaborate on the signs that lead to the disaster, what happened, who was affected, and what happened afterwards. Sometimes disasters can have effects outside of the physical destruction, such as prey being scarce, and I did my best to include those. I also added the images and I wasn't sure if those were better off to be included throughout the article or not.

I wasn't sure what to do with Cats of the Clans or TUG since those just breeze over prior disasters (like Mudclaw's death). I also included "space phenomenons" to better include the eclipseand the shooting stars, seemed like a good place to put them. Journey to find SkyClan (FQ) rename?[]

Noticed this, and gave it a little bit of thought. Considering in Firestar's Quest', Firestar and Sandstorm moreso rebuild SkyClan instead of finding it; should this be renamed to Journey to rebuild SkyClan? Star, I would personally recommend working on this more than fixing a single cite. At first glance, its an article that's in need of some updates to fall in line with more our newer content. Location article revamp[]

So I completely forgot I had this idea, but I was messing around here with ideas for a new layout for the location specific articles. I thought maybe we could give some of our older articles, many of which have been downgraded due to their age and issues, a face lift with a newer layout that matches some of our character-centric stuff.

So, what are the projects thoughts on doing this? This is of course a mock-up, but the basic idea is that we have a main page with cites in a summarized history of the article in all the important arcs it appears in, and then we have the Pagename/History tab like our character pages. I also added in the appearances section, but that I'm not 100% about as technically everything is listed in the maps, but I dunno. — m ax ^{it is the real thing,} (05:56, 25/12/2020)

Worked on another couple examples of varying length and importance - Barley's farm and the Bonehill. The latter shows cites in the history, which I think for the purpose of PW location articles, would be beneficial as they do differ from PC articles and such. For larger articles, especially the ones regarding the old forest, this sounds like a fantastic idea. I think the book mentions are fine if they actually appear/are mentioned in said book instead of being cited to the map. I also like having the cites throughout the page on the main article, as I think that is a key difference between PC and PW that should be kept. I recall having a conversation at one point with someone about splitting these pages as with newer books and such, its clear that the two locations can be counted as separate. It would also make the history clean up a lot easier, and make it more central to each place as well as writing up the description sections. A couple little things:

Just a very minor thing the link for Silverpaths - could you make that [[Silverpath|Silverpaths]]?
If applicable, add a main quote, or at the very minimum, a quote to the history section?
As for the history section, can you also add some citations as PW articles should have them regardless, and per the lean towards adding such in an above discussion.
Also, the wording for the first sentences could be changed to read more in-universe, if that makes sense? Instead of what it currently is, maybe have it as "Ajax and Tigerheart find a Thundersnake, as the former explains to Tigerheart to jump in it before it closes."
That first paragraph is also very repetitive when it comes to the usage of names, maybe play around with that too.

I haven't read Tigerheart's Shadow, but the verbiage used in the description on this page seems a little out of universe, such as calling things stations and carriages. I think those words could be removed, and that whole section could be written to properly convey series terms and whatnot. Also, the cite for the first two setences is the same page, and only needs to be used at the end of the second sentence. "Battle of the rebels" does not make much sense. Perhaps rename it to Battle against the impostor? Also, capitalize Clanmate and Clan - there are instances in the article where they are not capitalized. It is also not "follow suite," it is "follow suit."

"The rebels consisted of ShadowClan, SkyClan, and several exiled cats as well as spies from ThunderClan, RiverClan, and WindClan." I would remove the "and" before "several exiled cats" - change it to "SkyClan, several exiled cats, as well as spies [...]" Edit: "as well" is not even needed. Just change "[...] SkyClan, several exiled cats, and spies].

Past and present tense changes in the "Aftermath." First, you have Bramblestar's section written in past and present. For example, "After possessing the corpse of ThunderClan's leader, Bramblestar, the impostor began issuing harsh punishments towards cats who he claimed had broken the notions of the warrior code." Then, the next sentence is "Several cats see a noticeable difference in his personality and demeanor. Suspicion grows after the impostor begins exiling cats and the revelation that Rootspring is able to see the true Bramblestar's ghost," in present tense. Then it switches to past tense again, and present in the next paragraph. Make sure the tense is consistent.

In general the article still has a problem with past and present tense. "Bristlefrost wonders if any new grudges were planted that day, and watches in horror as she sees the multitude of bodies who had perished in the fighting, knowing that although the battle was finished, it didn't feel like a better time, not while the true Bramblestar was still missing.[13]" ...change it to "it does not feel like a better time, not while the true Bramblestar is still missing."

Again here: "Lionblaze and Harestar then get into a fight. Although the two seemed evenly matched, Harestar's exhaustion from fighting before Lionblaze gave him a disadvantage." The first sentence seems choppy - I am sure there are better ways to reword it, and again you have the same issue of past - present tense.

"The impostor says his order again, and claims that he is their leader, they must do as he commands." Perhaps "repeat" is better than "says his order again."

"The alliance of ThunderClan, WindClan, and RiverClan marches onto ShadowClan territory." Into ShadowClan territory.

"Enraged, he demands Leafstar exile him." Change this to "he demands that Leafstar exile him," or "he orders Leafstar to exile him."

I would like to add something else: I genuinely think this article needs to be renamed. "Battle of the []" is usually referred to locations, such as Battle of the Bulge, Battle of the Somme, Battle of Nagashino, Battle of Little Bighorn, etc. "Battle of the rebels" makes it sound like the rebels are being battled against. Thanks for catching all that, I appreciate it. I've gone through what's been mentioned and fixed them, but I'm sure there's other problems which I will be dealing with later on. On the topic of the page's name, while I don't think it's entirely incorrect (the rebels were being fought against by the alliance of Clans), I concur a more appropriate name would suit it better. Though, I don't believe "Battle against the impostor" is best it seems a bit misleading as well, for the same reasons that were stated above. I think perhaps something like "Battle for ShadowClan" would be more acceptable, since the alliances of Clans were there to drive out ShadowClan, while the rebels were there to stop that from happening. I do think Battle for ShadowClan is a good name, as there's also that skirmish where a band of rebels attack Bramblestar on TC territory (how Stemleaf dies), which by the way, I thought this page was describing that battle based on the title until I looked at the article myself. Battle of the impostor can be misleading as well, because like I said above, there was also that skirmish that heavily included the impostor. "Other Disasters" Category[]

With One Eye's oppression becoming a page, I'm guessing the wiki will make more of them in future. If so, I think they could get their own unique category. I feel like they're too hidden under "Other disasters" and the name doesn't best describe them. I propose we call this category, 'Atrocities', for pages explaining violent events caused by animals against one another. Thank you for moving this to PW ^^ I was actually thinking of the same thing since I've been adding new events. If we look into what's in the category now--Brokenstar's tyranny, Mudclaw's rebellion, the shadowclan-skyclan conflict, One Eye's thing, the Kin's campaign, ShadowClan's and SkyClan's fall--I think the better word would probably be "conflicts", or "major conflicts"? Atrocities make it sound like cruelty, savagery, brutality. Like the worsts things to have ever happened. And while these events listed are bad things, they really seem like power struggles (both taking power and losing power) than things no one can imagine.

However, those two events you mentioned would make great articles ^^ The thing about wikis is that anyone is free to create and edit content providing they cite their information.
