- During the battle against the Dark Forest, Pinenose wails over a dead kit. Tallpoppy picks up the small, lifeless body and takes Pinenose behind the safety of some brambles, laying her kit down at her paws.

- At the Gathering, Blackstar informs the cats present to remember the fallen. Weaselkit is mentioned by Blackstar as one of the ShadowClan cats who were killed in the battle against the Dark Forest.
